Director Andrew Bryant Retires

Andrew has been a cornerstone of Frome FM since joining in 2009. He played a crucial role in engineering the station when we first gained our full FM licence and brought with him many years of experience maintaining studio equipment for BBC Radio. His contributions, both technical and personal, have shaped the station into what it is today.
Following the most recent Directors’ meeting, existing Director Tim Hardy has volunteered to take on the role of Chair. Andrew has agreed to remain on call for now for any studio technical troubles. However, this leaves us with a vacancy for a Technical Director. If anyone is interested in learning more about what the role involves, please contact any of the Directors and we would be delighted to discuss it. In addition, if you feel you can assist us with technical support in any form please also get in touch.
We will be thinking about next steps over the next few weeks regarding plans for 2026 but for now we would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to Andrew for his immense hard work, wisdom, kindness, guidance, and leadership over the years. I am sure you will all join us in wishing him and his wife Dorothy-Anne the best as they enter the next phase of their retirement. We owe them a great deal.
